A long time ago, in a Planet Fitness Gym Far Away, a young Frank Zane didn’t have the budget for expensive weight training gear and supplements, and instead had to make his own gear such as soup cans and water bottles. Ok, maybe that’s stretching the truth, but it doesn’t mean you can’t go to such lengths to get into body builder form without breaking the bank. These items are inexpensive, and they can be easily obtained if you are trying to get a workout on the road. A word of caution however: Home-made fitness objects can be difficult to work with and they're not as evenly weighted as standard weights. You should always practice caution whenever working out.

Weight Training Routines You Can Take With You

There are a number of good weight training routines which can be adapted for when traveling. A good exercise which works on the full body is the squat-curl-press. Starting with feet apart, toes pointed slightly outward, hold a can of soup in each hand down by your side. Do a squat, and as you come up, do a bicep curl. After this, press the arms up over the head into a shoulder press. You should keep in mind to keep the knees slightly soft, don’t lock them. When you go back down to a squat, bring your arms down and then do a reverse curl, after which place your arms down by your sides.

There Many Types Of Fitness Training That You Can Apply Anywhere

Going on the road should never prevent you from getting in your reps. There are many types of fitness training that will work for different applications. It’s always great to get outside and do some cardio fitness. You can do push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups or hanging curls, two to three sets of 12 to 15 repetitions each. This will target the glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps and the core, as well as the biceps, shoulders and triceps. You should incorporate all of these exercises into a circuit, which will increase your heart rate and maximize your work out.
